Vancouver Diabetes Research Day (VDRD) will be held virtually on November 12, 2021. This exciting annual scientific day enables diabetes researchers from across British Columbia to connect, collaborate, and present their research

We invite all trainees involved in diabetes research across British Columbia to submit an abstract and be part of #VDRD2021. VDRD research presentations range across the four BC Diabetes Research Network themes including; Islet Biology, Cell Therapy & Basic Research, Complications of Diabetes, Prevention of Diabetes and Patient Oriented Research. We encourage all attendees to submit an abstract (up to 350 word) for a virtual poster presentation or an oral presentation.

About Vancouver Diabetes Research Day
VDRD was founded in 2014 by a group of dedicated trainees from the BC Children’s Hospital Canucks for Kids Fund Childhood Diabetes Laboratories and the UBC Life Sciences Institute’s Diabetes Research Group. Over the past eight years the diabetes research community has grown. VDRD is now a provincial meeting for diabetes researchers from across British Columbia. This annual event attracts attendees composed of faculty, trainees, sponsors and community partners. Meeting delegates come from the University of British Columbia Vancouver and Okanagan campuses, Simon Fraser University, University of Victoria and the University of Northern British Columbia.
