In this episode we introduce Olivia Wu RD, CDE.
Olivia Wu is a Registered Dietitian, Certified Diabetes Educator, and graduate student in the Faculty of Land and Food Systems at the University of British Colombia under the supervision of Dr. Tamara Cohen. Their research is conducted in the Nutrition and Eating Behaviour Lab on the UBC Point Grey campus and the BC Children’s Hospital Research Institute.
Prior to her academic studies, Olivia worked as a clinical dietitian in acute-care and endocrinology clinics. Her graduate research explores how nutrition for diabetes management can be more sustainable to benefit not only human health, but also uphold environmentalism, cultural acceptability, food security and equity.
