Patients & researchers connect to share type 1 diabetes research insights
On April 18ththe BC Diabetes Research Network and Young & Type 1 joined together for a special knowledge exchange event. The special event was held at Steamworks in Gastown and attracted over 100 guests to share their perspectives. Academic researchers presented posters highlighting the aims in their research laboratories. Young & T1D members had great personal insight and questions for the academics.
The evening was a celebration of those living with Type 1 diabetes and those dedicated to discovering better prediction, management and treatment of diabetes. Thank you to BC Minister of Health Adrian Dix who joined the Young & Type 1’s and young researchers from BC’s public institutions for a night celebrating diabetes research in BC.
