Call for Abstracts: Alberta-British Columbia Islet Workshop 2022
We would like to extend an invitation to scientists and trainees from across Canada to attend the Alberta-British Columbia Islet Workshop 2022. The A-BC Islet Workshop is open to all Canadian islet scientists and their trainees.
This meeting will be held at the Silver Star Mountain in Vernon British Columbia between February 15-18, 2022.
The meeting has been organized by the University of Alberta and the University of British Columbia since 2012. This joint workshop began in response to a need to provide a targeted scientific meeting for islet scientists and trainees to share their research. The shared vision for the Islet Workshop is to build a collaborative network for Canadian islet scientists from across Canada. The meeting format is designed to give trainees experience delivering oral presentations. Group activities are planned to encourage building relationships for Canadian islet scientists from coast to coast to coast.

- Islet Transplantation and Encapsulation
- Islet Inflammation and Immunology
- Insulin Secretion and Islet Biology
- Stem Cells and Beta Cell Development
- Beta Cell Growth and Death
- New Techniques and Methodologies
Registration numbers will be limited to maintain social distancing. In accordance with BC Public Health, all attendees must provide proof of full COVID-19 vaccination.
