In this episode we introduce Dr Tamara Cohen, PhD RD.  Dr. Cohen is the Director of the UBC Dietetics Program and an Assistant Professor in Human Nutrition in the Faculty of Land and Food Systems at the University of British Columbia and an Investigator at the BC Children’s Hospital Research Institute.

Dr Cohen’s research team focuses on dietary behaviours through tools to support healthy eating and Canada’s Food Guide. Her research includes developing an app that supports healthy eating in a way that is inclusive and accessible.  

Dr. Cohen’s research program objectives include:

-To improve adherence to lifestyle interventions, specifically targeting diet and eating behaviours for individuals (children, adolescents and adults) wanting to change dietary behaviours

-To develop novel education and dietary assessment tools to improve diet quality throughout the lifespan.
